#BookReview of Xoe: or Vampires, and Werewolves, and Demons, oh my! by Sara C. Roethle

Sara C. Roethle reminds me of a younger version of Kim Harrison. Her book “Xoe: or Vampires, and Werewolves, and Demons, oh my!, the first book in the series, is similar to Harrison’s fantasy land. A land where both humans and mystical creatures live among each other.
The book is about how Xoe, a teenage girl, discovers that mythical creatures exist and are living in among her. Xoe must learn to accept their existence while keeping her friends safe and also dealing with her own secrets. The book is similar to the popular Twilight series as there are vampires and werewolves in a high school setting. Roethle takes it a step further by adding more creatures and keeping it somewhat friendly between them. The book is more for younger, tween audiences. It is a pretty easy read, I was able to finish it in two days. I enjoyed the book and would like to read Roethle’s next book in the series to see how she keeps the storyline going.
I gave the book 4 stars on Goodreads and Amazon I really enjoyed the book. It is nice to read something that is not so heavy on my emotions once in a while.
